As a Full Stack Engineer at BTG Pactual Investment Bank, I architected and developed a core financial calculation engine for Portfolio Management, powering critical metrics such as P&L, Funding, and Present Value.
Key responsibilities and achievements included:
- Engineered mission-critical systems with a strong focus on high availability and distributed processing.
- Designed and implemented robust inter-system communication using event-driven architectures with AWS SQS and RabbitMQ, integrated with various microservices (REST APIs, Worker Services).
- Leveraged scalable AWS cloud infrastructure, including ECS, EKS, and CloudFormation, to seamlessly deploy and manage services.
- Optimized complex business rules and algorithms, enabling high-volume data processing while maintaining optimal system performance.
Key Projects
- Precatory (Brazil & Colombia) and Consortium: Developed advanced financial calculation systems designed to accurately process Profit & Loss (P&L) and Exposure metrics for over 200,000 assets. The architecture heavily prioritized strict data precision and seamless integration with external bank systems to ensure reliable financial reporting.
- NPL (Non-Performing Loans): Engineered a high-volume data integration pipeline. To handle the immense scale, I implemented robust parallelization strategies and advanced data pre-processing techniques, guaranteeing rapid data ingestion and maximum system efficiency.
